The National Dual Language Consortium, founded in 2006, is a not-for-profit that coordinates, consolidates and disseminates national resources and research from a variety of local, state, and national organizations, as well as individuals, devoted to the support of dual language education.
In cooperation with experts in the field, NDLC sets a national dual language research agenda, supports research and makes direct links for practitioners to classroom instruction.
The consortium develops and coordinates professional development for dual language administrators, teachers and parents.
NDLC acts as a clearinghouse for national dual language teaching and learning standards, appropriate evaluation and assessment practices, curricular frameworks and model dual language lessons.
The consortium meets two to three times a year.
